About

Hi, nice to meet you. We collectively go by Corvidellow online. We are diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder and it plays a significant role in our art.In 2017 we received our BFA in Illustration. Drawing has been a large part of our coping mechanism during childhood and even now.--- --- ---Trauma therapy began in November 2019 and we were incredibly lucky to be assigned a professional who is experienced with dissociative disorders. EMDR has been included in our trauma recovery and it has facilitated a lot of the internal awareness we have today. In the summer and autumn of 2022 we experienced a surge in memory recollection and flashbacks. As a result we have a greater understanding of our history, which includes years of extreme organized abuse. We are what is considered a RAMCOA system.--- --- ---Ultimately, we hope to continue sharing our expressions with the world. Telling our story at our own pace and in a way that feels the most authentic (and safe) to us is what we plan on doing moving forward.Nurturing the online space that we've carved out for ourselves with the help of likeminded people has been incredibly healing and rewarding. We appreciate everyone who has been kind and supportive of us while we try to navigate ourselves and our life.

Boundaries regarding our artwork

Our work is rather personal but we also understand that we cannot control what people do. However, if you want to respect us then please keep these in mind. We will likely block users who break these. Thanks!

Please do not:1. Closely replicate our work or draw our alters.2. Make sexual comments.
(sexually charged jokes, "that's hot", etc.)
3. Ask questions meant to collect information about our trauma.

We are super appreciative to all who respect these wishes. Thank you!

Universal boundaries also still apply, please respect artist's work and do not reupload our art, forgo credit, claim our work as your own, etc.

Fakeclaiming and Ableism

Written by Kay

Fakeclaiming, the action of accusing disabled people of faking their disability/disorder/condition, is rooted in ableism.Dissociative Identity Disorder seems to be a hot button topic regarding fakers. Speaking from firsthand experience, the culture around policing, brigading, and harassing strangers online for allegedly faking a disorder does far more harm than good.Fakeclaiming actively spreads more misinformation than malingerers because it garners widespread attention, promotes bandwagon bullying, and tricks the masses into believing they're qualified to speak for disorders they don't have. Many of us lose our ability to be representatives of our own disabilities because this conduct becomes louder than our own voices.Yes, malingerers and people who fabricate disabilities can contribute their own degrees of harm, but the cost-benefit analysis of Fakeclaiming Culture (AKA ableism) comes as a cost to disabled communities, not a benefit.I have never been directly harmed by a DID faker, but I have been directly harassed by strangers many times under the guise of "helping" the "real" disabled people. My experience is not unique. If you want to be an advocate for disabled people, please consider the following.Disability advocacy actually looks like:

  • Being an Active Listener

  • Respecting our Autonomy

  • Respecting our Self-Determination

  • Promoting Accessibility

  • Promoting Inclusivity

  • Amplifying Disabled Voices (especially BIPOC voices)

  • Deconstructing Innate Biases about Disability

  • Living with Intersectionality in Mind

  • Mutual Aid

  • Community Organizing

  • Addressing Fakeclaiming + Ableism

  • Addressing Discrimination

  • Addressing Harmful Policies + Legislation

  • Education about Mental Health

  • Education about Childhood Development

  • Education about Healthier Parenting

  • Education about Systems of Oppression

  • Education about the Medical Industry + Other Industries

What is RAMCOA?

The acronym stands for Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, and Organized Abuse. It is an umbrella term that describes specific "styles" of abuses that are more complex and unconventional in nature. RAMCOA often includes extreme or sadistic forms of abuse (e.g. torture) that are premeditated and intentional.Someone can be a victim of one, two, or all three categories. We experienced all three because it is not uncommon for victims of sex trafficking to have experienced all of those things. For example, Ritual Abuse and Mind Control were necessary aspects of our abuse in order to ensure that the Organized Abuse (sex trafficking) went smoothly. Being traumatized ritually (on a repeated basis) with elements of extreme mental conditioning allows for perpetrators to better avoid detection as well as create very specific behaviors within a victim. We are not an expert on these labels and classifications, but here is a basic summary of what each category means:Ritual Abuse: Not to be confused with religious or occult rituals (although they can go hand in hand), RA describes the act of planning and carrying out very intentional abuse onto a victim on a repeating or scheduled basis. This is where the word ritual comes from (not to be confused with Satanic Rituals). Brushing your teeth every morning is a daily ritual, for example. Ritual abuse is planned and repeating abuse that is ritualistic in nature.Mind Control: While the name may sound like it came from a sci-fi novel, MC describes intentional mental conditioning that is imposed on a victim in order to produce specific behaviors or beliefs within them. These behaviors or beliefs are usually things that would go against a victim's own will or values. As a side note, conditioning happens everywhere. People are conditioned (also known as groomed) into doing things autonomously all the time. Drivers are conditioned to stop their vehicles at red lights. Many people are conditioned to say "bless you" when someone sneezes. Decades ago people were conditioned (or groomed) into believing that cigarettes were actually healthy. In the context of RAMCOA however, MC describes things like Trauma-Based Mind Control and Programming. Both of those include overt and usually severe forms of traumatization in order to achieve the desired conditioning.Organized Abuse: When more than one perpetrator cooperate together in order to orchestrate abuse onto one or more victim.
